Glitter Graphics from Dollielove.com

The Sound Cellar is celebrating one year on the air. We want to thank all of our listeners the world over that have made of this worthwhile.

We've added several cuts from the record vault to the broadcast - three cuts from The Fantastic "Expedition of Dillard & Clark," and one cut each from Little Steven's "Men Without Women," True West's "Hand of Fate" and The Smiths "Hatful of Hollow."

And we will be doing a live broadcast tomorrow afternoon to celebrate our birthday. So tune in tomorrow and send in some requests via the guest book. We'll post exact times for the live broadcast here on the blog - it'll be a hoot!

A Country Boy Can Survive

Hank Williams Jr. is celebrating the 25th Anniversary of his classic track "A Country Boy Can Survive" with a remastered and remixed version of the song. This legendary cut is as relevant today as it was when written back in 1981 and remains a staple on radio. The song and artist bridge generations -- in just 4 weeks, it has generated 250,000 plays on MySpace. A video for the song had never been shot -- until now --and is set to premiere on CMT in mid-January.

The Sound Cellar is pleased to announce that "A Country Boy Can Survive" is being featured on its broadcast.

A New Year at The Sound Cellar

The Sound Cellar is back up and running a seven hour playlist.

We're making some changes this year. The playlist has become more eclectic. The music played will follow my muse; whatever I fell like listening to at the time will become part of the playlist. This will make for a more exciting listening experience and will provide an even broader range of music played on The Sound Cellar.

We're adding opportunities for listeners to support the broadcast by purchases of CDs and digital music made through our website with Amazon and emusic as well as becoming a Live365 Preferred Member. We appreciate any support from our listeners which helps pay for the costs associated with broadcasting.

We will update the playlist every day with seven to ten songs so the broadcast will stay fresh. Please leave a note on the guest book with any requests, comments or suggestions.

Thanks for listening to The Sound Cellar.
